Apostle Alphonse Okossi preached the main WORD Sunday May 26, 2019 CLFC service in Harlem. Apostle Okossi's theme was GOD'S PURPOSE FOR BELIEVERS IN CHRIST. Apostle Okossi spoke of going from dryness to abundance, and how God often sends the locusts and famine to test our faith. "Humble ourselves and seek God's face and we will hear from him," the Apostle reminded the Church. Apostle Okossi referenced scripture GENESIS 1:28 : God blessed them and said to them, “Be fruitful and multiply, and fill the earth and subdue it; rule over the fish of the sea and the birds of the air and every creature that crawls upon the earth.” The Apostle preached that when Jesus came, he restored God's original purpose for us. "Jesus did everything his Father told him. Apostle Okossi talked about Scripture GENESIS 11: 6-7 / Then the LORD came down to see the city and the tower that the sons of men were building. 6 And the LORD said, “If they have begun to do this as one people speaking the same language, then nothing they devise will be beyond them. 7 Come, let Us go down and confuse their language, so that they will not understand one another’s speech.” The Apostle preached that if you are not doing the purpose of God you are doomed to destruction. If you are not doing the will of God you are doomed to destruction. Like Sodom and Gomorah was doomed to destruction. Today, we are living like a modern Sodom and Gomorrah, Apostle Okossi preached. He reminded the church that Dry Bones Will Rise Again. "The Lord's purpose in our lives, has to come from everything we are doing in our life. If you submit to God, He will direct your purpose," the Apostle preached. "If you Obey and do the will of God you will prosper. Learn from Joseph. He is not a Pastor. He suffered affliction, jailed, then he was elevated to Prime Minister of Egypt, the second most powerful position in all of Egypt. Also learn from Daniel." Seek first the Kingdom of God and everything else will be added unto you.
