We have prayed that God will guide special people to this site--those who are hungry for His Word and those yearning to be equipped to share the Gospel with others.

PromiseLand Empowerment Network is a inter-denominational Christian organization committed to recruiting, equipping through training, motivating, and mobilizing a network of believers capable of intercession for setting captives free from devastation of many generations, articulation and demonstration of the principles of Kingdom of God, and mobilization of laborers to assist in the edification of the Body of christ and to reap the worldwide, end-time harvest.

A. Our Mission:

To develop a Holy Spirit energized network of Christian believers and organizations united in their faith in Christ, to empower people and Christian organizations, to be spiritually free (Isaiah 61.) to help reverse negative behaviors (Ezekiel 37:1-15) and to help rebuild lives of leaders, families and Christian organizations (Haggai 1,2,3) devastated for many generations (Isaiah 61.).

B. Our Vision:

Multitude of spiritually free and empowered generations engaged in doing good in the community, the country and the world for the glory of God and in the name of Jesus Christ.

“And they  shall build the old wastes, they shall raise up the former desolations, and they shall repair the waste cities, the desolations of many generations” (Isaiah 61:4)..

“For as the earth bring forth her bud, and as the garden causes the things that are sown in it to spring forth; so the Lord GOD will cause righteousness and praise to spring forth before all the nations” (Isaiah 61:11).

“His lord said unto him, Well done, good and faithful servant; thou hast been faithful over a few things, I will make thee ruler over many things: enter thou into the joy of thy lord”. (Matthew 25:23)

C. Our Core Values:

These are the tenets of faith as we see them -- non-negotiable elements of a Biblical worldview. First of all we believe the whole Bible rightly divided, we do not seek to build doctrines from the Bible but we are dedicated teaching, to reading and meditating on the Bible and rely on the Holy Spirit to teach us and help us understand His Word and use our faith to enact it in each area of our lives. We point out the following statements:

We affirm the Apostles’ Creed (an excellent summary of the Christian faith)

I believe in God, the Father Almighty, creator of heaven and earth. I believe in Jesus Christ, His only Son, our Lord. He was conceived by the power of the Holy Spirit, and born of the Virgin Mary. He suffered under Pontius Pilate, was crucified, died and was buried. He descended to the dead. On the third day He rose again. He ascended into heaven and is seated at the right hand of the Father. He will come again to judge the living and the dead. I believe in the Holy Spirit, the holy Christian Church, the communion of saints, the forgiveness of sins, the resurrection of the body, and the life everlasting. Amen.

We make Love Commitment to God as Top Priority

We will strive by God’s power working within us to love God with all that is in us and all that He has entrusted to us.

We make Love Commitment to One Another as Next Priority:

We will strive by God’s power working within us to be closely related to at least two or three others in the Fellowship and express to them the “one another” commands from the New Testament.

We adopt a De-centralized Organizational  Structure: a network of Christian believers and organizations

1. Our relationships will not be legislated from a hierarchy, but will arise naturally from the grassroots, as members within the group recognize those God is calling them to relate to and receive from (Luke 6:12-17).

2. Our relationships will grow, change and expand naturally as the Holy Spirit directs. We encourage members to establish mentoring, apprenticeship, and discipling relationships among themselves, where they can live out the “one another” commands in the New Testament. Jesus’ relationship with His disciples lasted for about one-and-a-half years before it changed. We are committed to relationships being free to grow and change according to each individual’s inner sensing.

3. De-centralized leadership must be maintained throughout the life of this organization.

4. We do not want a hierarchy for people to climb, nor any rewards for those who climb it, other than the reward of having given your life away to others, which is in itself enough reward.

Statement of Faith

God

We believe that there is but one God, omnipotent, omniscient, omnipresent, who is the Creator and Sustainer of all things, visible and invisible, revealed in the Father, Son and Holy Spirit:

Pray ye therefore the Lord of the Harvest...  (Matthew 9:38)

For there are three that bear record in Heaven, the Father, the Word and the Holy Ghost: and these three are one.  (I John 5:7)

  The Father

We believe in God the Father, the Ancient of Days, who is not aloof from human history but who, through various covenants, has initiated relationship with mankind, and to whom we have now been reconciled through the sacrifice of Jesus Christ upon the Cross. Because of Jesus Christ, we too can now call God "Father":

For thus saith the Lord that created the heavens; God Himself that formed the earth and made it; He hath established it, He created it not in vain; He formed it to be inhabited; I am the Lord, and there is none else.  (Isaiah 45:18)

  The Lord Jesus Christ

We believe in the Lord Jesus Christ, His deity, His virgin birth, that He died, was buried and on the third day rose back to life, that He ascended to heaven and is now seated at the right hand of the Father. We believe that He is the eternal Son of God, for whom and by whom all things were created:

Wherefore God also hath highly exalted Him, and given Him a name which is above every name: That at the name of Jesus every knee should bow, of things in Heaven, and things in earth, and things under the earth; And that every tongue should confess that Jesus Christ is Lord, to the glory of God the Father.  (Philippians 2:9-11)

  The Holy Spirit

We believe that the Holy Spirit proceeded from the Father and the Son, and is of one substance, majesty and glory with the Father and the Son, the River within the believer:

But ye shall receive power, after that the Holy Ghost is come upon you: and ye shall be witnesses unto me both in Jerusalem, and in all Judaea, and in Samaria, and unto the uttermost part of the earth.  (Acts 1:8)

But all these worketh that one and the selfsame Spirit, dividing to every man severally as He  will.  (I Corinthians 12:11)

But the fruit of the Spirit is love, joy, peace,  longsuffering, gentleness, goodness, faith, meekness, temperance...  (Galatians 5:22-23)

The Holy Scriptures

We believe in the divine inspiration of the Holy Scriptures, as contained in the Old and New Testaments of the Bible, as the sole revelation of the mind and will of God, and we accept them in their original form as the divine Word of God:

The seed Is the Word of God...  (Luke 8:11)

For ever, O Lord, thy Word is settled in Heaven.  (Psalms 119:89)

The Devil

We believe that the devil, through temptation and deception, initiated the downfall of man and now seeks to destroy the faith of every believer in the Lord Jesus Christ and to hinder the further spread of the Gospel of salvation through Jesus Christ.

All your pomp has been brought down to the grave, along with the noise of your harps; maggots are spread out beneath you and worms cover you.

  How you have fallen from heaven, O morning star, son of the dawn! You have been cast down to the earth, you who once laid low the nations! You said in your heart,  "I will ascend to heaven;

       I will raise my throne

       above the stars of God;

I will sit enthroned on the mount of assembly,

on the utmost heights of the sacred mountain. (Isaiah 14:11-13)

The thief cometh not, but for to steal, and to kill, and to destroy: I am come that they might have life, and that they might have it more abundantly. (John 10:10)

  Salvation & Justification by Faith

We believe that it is impossible to attain salvation through self-effort, but that through simply believing in the atoning death and resurrection of the Lord Jesus Christ and in acting out that faith through receiving Jesus Christ as Lord and Savior, we receive the remission of all our sins, reconciliation with God and the gift of eternal life. We hold that the believer has an eternal salvation secured in Christ:

But he that received seed into the good ground is he that heareth the Word, and

understandeth it; which also beareth fruit...(Matthew 13:23)

For it is by free grace (God's unmerited favor) that you are saved (delivered from judgment and made partakers of Christ's salvation) through (your) faith.  And this (salvation) is not of yourselves--of your own doing, it came not through your own striving--but it is the gift of God; Not because of works (not of the fulfillment of the Law's demands), lest any man should boast.--It is not the  result of what any one can possibly do, so no one can pride himself in it or take glory to himself.  (Ephesians 2:8-9)    The Amplified Bible

Baptism in Water

We believe in fulfilling the command of Jesus to baptize believers into the Name of the Father and of the Son and of the Holy Spirit and that this baptism is symbolic of our death, burial and resurrection with the Lord Jesus Christ in His redemptive work on the Cross.

Sanctification

We believe it is the glorious privilege of every believer in Christ to be made pure in heart and wholly sanctified through the renewing of mind, by the operation of the Holy Spirit through the blood of Christ and the Word of God. A believer cannot be justified by works, but evidences that justification through works empowered by the Holy Spirit.

The Church

We believe in the Church of the Lord Jesus Christ, made up of all who have believed on the Lord Jesus and received the salvation of the Cross, and that this Church will come to the full expression of unity that can only be found in the Gospel of Jesus Christ, according to the prayer of Jesus Christ in John 17.

Pray ye therefore the Lord of the harvest that He will send forth laborers into His harvest.  (Matthew 9:38)

The Church is the Body and Bride of Christ.  The primary mission of the Church is to teach all nations and to make disciples, taking the Gospel of the Kingdom to all men and nations with confirming signs:

And He said to them, Go into all the world and preach and publish openly the good news (the Gospel) to every creature (of the whole human race).  He who believes-- (that is,) who adheres to and trusts in and relies on the Gospel and Him Whom it sets forth--and is baptized will be saved (from the penalty of eternal death); but he who does not believe--who does not adhere to and trust in and rely on the Gospel and Him Whom it sets forth--will be condemned.  And these attesting signs will accompany those who believe: In My name they will drive out demons; they will speak in new languages; they will pick up serpents, and (even) if they drink anything deadly, it will not hurt them; they will lay their hands on the sick, and they will get well.  (Mark 16:15-18)  The Amplified Bible

The Lord’s Supper

We believe, in accordance with the command of the Lord Jesus, that we should celebrate this ordinance in remembrance of the atoning work of Christ and as an act of fellowship together.

The Return of Christ

We believe in the physical second coming of the Lord Jesus Christ, returning as He ascended, with power and majesty, to judge the dead and the living. Those not found in the Book of Life will be consigned to everlasting separation from God, described in the Scriptures as the Second Death. Those found in the Book of Life will enter into the glorious presence of God:

Thrust in  thy  sickle, and reap: for the time is come for thee to reap;

for the harvest of the earth is ripe.  (Revelation 14:15)

The consummation [the end] of all things includes the visible and glorious return of Jesus Christ, the resurrection of the dead, and the translation of those alive in Christ unto the judgment of the just and the unjust.  Satan with his hosts and all men outside Christ will be separated from the presence of God to endure eternal punishment while the redeemed will be in the presence of God for eternity:

But I would not have you to be ignorant, brethren,  concerning them which are asleep, that ye sorrow not, even as others which have no hope. For if we believe that Jesus died and rose again, even so them also which sleep in Jesus will God bring with Him.  For this we say unto you by the word of the Lord, that we which are alive and remain unto the coming of the Lord shall not prevent them which are asleep. For the Lord Himself shall descend from Heaven with a shout, with the voice of an archangel, and with the trump of God:  and the dead in Christ shall rise first;  Then we which are alive and remain shall be caught up together with them in the clouds to meet the Lord in the air... (II Thessalonians 4:13-17)

And I saw the dead, small and great, stand before God; and the books were opened: and another book was opened, which is the book of life:  and the dead were judged out of those things which were written in the books, according to their works.  (Revelation 20:12)

Special Characteristics

These are the special characteristics which flavor the teachings and ministry approach of the PromiseLand Empowerment Network, Inc:

The Centrality of the Gospel

We believe that the Gospel of the Lord Jesus Christ must be central to all church teaching and activity. The Gospel is a "whole Gospel for the whole Christian life."

The Gifts of the Spirit

We believe in the empowering of the Holy Spirit for service and the present day operation of the gifts of the Spirit, as described in 1 Corinthians 12:7-11.

The Ministry of Every Believer

We believe that every believer, regardless of race, gender or educational status, is called by God to participate in His glorious purpose. We are all "full time" in the ministry, even if we have a so-called secular vocation, and to this end, each believer has a unique mix of ministry gifts, as determined by the Holy Spirit.

The Unity of the Body of Christ

We believe in the indivisible unity of the Body of Christ, established solely upon the foundation of the Gospel of Christ. We believe that God is bringing His Body into a practical expression of unity, as described in John 17:20-23 and Ephesians 4:13.

We require unity in the essentials, which we accept as that which is written in our core values and the above-stated view of Scripture. We allow for and even encourage diversity in the non-essentials, which we believe is the rest of our growing, developing theology. We honor those who disagree without becoming disagreeable, noting that the Bible declares that all Christians “have the prophetic word made more

sure, to which you do well to pay attention as to a lamp shining in a dark place, until the day dawns and the morning star arises in your hearts” (2 Pet. 1:19).
