Calvary Living Faith Church Sunday Service January 13, 2019 Harlem. Pastor Dali preached on his theme PRAISE, continuing from last Sunday's Sermon on the importance of praising our mighty God. "THERE IS POWER IN PRAISE" Pastor Dali told the congregation at the beginning of his sermon. The Pastor explained how praise is an Act Of Faith; the Language Of Faith. Pastor Dali further preached how praise starts out from one's hand, and his then transferred to the mighty hand of God. Praise glorifies God. Pastor Dali referenced PSALM 47:7 which reads: "For God is King of all the earth; sing profound praises to Him." AMEN. Pastor Dali preached that we lift up our hands and sing praises to God. "When we pray we ASK. But when we praise, we TAKE", the Pastor said by way of comparison.
Pastor Dali preached that for effective prayer, we need to know what exactly praise is. Pastor Dali quoted LUKE 24: 52-53, "And they worshiped Him and returned to Jerusalem with great joy, (53)Praising God continually in the temple." Pastor Dali said that praising God, glorifies God, and when we praise God, we can have favor from people who will come and worship with us. Pastor Dali pointed to King David as an example of someone who knew exactly what praise is, and how to use it to manifest the mighty power of our God. Pastor Dali pointed out the how the Army of Judah used songs of praise to God as effective warfare on the battlefield. They placed singers to go out before the soldiers to praise God. 2 Chronicles 20:21-22. "When he had consulted with the people, he appointed singers to the LORD, and that should praise the beauty of holiness, as they went out before the army, and to say, Praise the LORD; for his mercy endures for ever. (22) And when they began to sing and to praise, the LORD set ambushes against the children of Ammon, Moab, and mount Seir, which were come against Judah; and they were smitten." Pastor Dali preached that whatever battle we are facing today, all we have to do is just praise God!. "Just like what God did for the Army of Judah then, he will do for you today," Pastor Dali stated. "PRAISE HIM" Pastor Dali continued his sermon preaching about Paul and Silas when they were both in prison in New Testament ACTS 16: 25-26 (25) "And at midnight Paul and Silas prayed, and sang praises unto God: and the prisoners heard them. (26)And suddenly there was a great earthquake, so that the foundations of the prison were shaken: and immediately all the doors were opened, and every one's bands were loosed." Pastor Dali preached that for Paul and Silas, the only one thing they could do in that hopeless situation chained up in prison, is to praise God. "One Miracle brought another," Pastor Dali preached, noting the first Miracle is the power of God breaking their chains and the prison doors opened. "The second Miracle is that the keeper of the jail and his entire family gave his life to Jesus after he witnessed the might hand of our Lord. "PRAISE IS DYNAMIC" Pastor Dali stated. "Praise is a powerful weapon. But a lot of us don't know how to use praise properly to benefit from it. It is like you are riding in a car and it is cold, and there is a heater in the car, but you don't know how to turn it on and use it, it can't benefit you." Pastor Dali quoted PSALM 107: 31 "Oh that men would praise the LORD for his goodness" Pastor Dali stated: "Praise is what we have to do when we are in a situation and don't know what to do. We are to PRAISE GOD"
AMEN GLORY BE TO OUR MIGHT GOD!
