APOSTLE ALPHONSE OKOSSI preached the main WORD at Sunday Feb. 24, 2019 service at CLFC in Harlem. The Apostle continued his series on Taking Authority over the Enemy. Apostle Okossi preached that it is easy to have deliverance and freedom from enemy strongholds. But staying free, is the difficult part.
“When an unclean spirit goes out of a man, he goes through dry places, seeking rest, and finds none. Then he says, ‘I will return to my house from which I came.’ And when he comes, he finds it empty, swept, and put in order. Then he goes and takes with him seven other spirits more wicked than himself, and they enter and dwell there; and the last state of that man is worse than the first. So shall it also be with this wicked generation.” (Matthew 12: 43-45) Apostle Okossi reminded the Church of the importance of taking authority of demonic spirits by filling our home with the Holy Spirit. "When you have friendship with the World, you become an enemy of God's Word," Apostle Okossi preached. "If you are in love with the world, you become an enemy of God." JAMES 4:4 Whoever wants to be a friend of the World makes himself and enemy of GOD, is what the scripture teaches.
The Apostle preached that we must SUBMIT TO GOD, RESIST THE DEVIL AND HE WILL FLEE. However, Apostle Okossi preached that TEMPTATION is very dangerous. The enemy uses all kinds off Temptations to trap Christians. "We can not fight temptation in the flesh. We must first flee it fast" Apostle Okossi preached. "We have to submit to the will of GOD. Obey God. Because the Enemy comes to kill, steal, and destroy." Apostle Okossi we must Hate Evil, and LOVE GOD. "As for me and my house, we shall serve the LORD," Apostle Okossi preached. In taking authority, we have to examine ourself and ask what is the thing (s) we are most tempted by. Then we are to Hate the Temptation to rebuke it in Name of Jesus. Apostle Okossi preached we must enjoy God's presence daily, Listen more to GOD in spirit, and talk less. "We also must bounce back from setbacks right away. We must have spiritual agility," Apostle Okossi preached. "Flee from temptation and let the Holy Spirit fight the stronghold," Apostle Okossi stated. "When you find a stronghold, bring it to God. Don't try to fight it." Apostle Okossi emphasized that TEMPTATION IS MORE DANGEROUS for a Christian than Satan! "That is why you have to flee temptation. You don't fight it. You resist Satan and he flees. "Seal what belongs to you, put on the blood of Jesus. Be strong in the Lord. Hate Evil. Hate Satan. Submit to God totally. Resist the Devil. Avoid Temptation."
