CLFC HARLEM, NY- Pastor Lezou Dali presented the pre-sermon Bible Study. The Pastor teaching theme: "FOR OUR GOD IS A CONSUMING FIRE". Pastor Dali taught that many times in the Bible, GOD has used Fire to demonstrate his Glory and Power to both believers and non-believers. Pastor Dali referenced the first significant sign of God using fire in scripture Exodus 3: 1 Moses At The Burning Bush to call Moses, and to lead the People at night. Pastor Dali continued teaching by pointing to scripture: "Elijah and the Miracle of Fire from Heaven" 1 KINGS 18: 37-39. The Bible said: "At the request of Elijah, God rained fire from Heaven to rebuke Ahab and the prophets of Baal, and their offering of sacrifice. (37) Hear me, O LORD, hear me, that this people may know that thou art the LORD God, and that thou hast turned their heart back again. (38)Then the fire of the LORD fell, and consumed the burnt sacrifice, and the wood, and the stones, and the dust, and licked up the water that was in the trench. (39) And when all the people saw it, they fell on their faces: and they said, The LORD, he is the God; the LORD, he is the God."
Pastor Dali stated that God's assurance is His WORD. "The Lord will descend in a cloud in your situation with Fire," Pastor Dali said. "The presence of the Fire shows us the presence of God," Pastor Dali stated. "The Lord comes as a Consuming Fire," the Pastor added. Pastor Dali said the Lord as a consuming fire can come and consume sacrifices unto other gods. Pastor Dali also demonstrated that God uses fire as the ultimate judgement, as in Book Of Revelation, reference to the Lake of Fire.
