These days we need to be reminded what our Lord Jesus's meaning of shpeherd is. We must never loose sight of what Jesus's own definition of shpherd is. It seems as though each church or denomination has their idea of what is supposed to be but please learn from the Master, what He really mean:
John 10
1Verily, verily, I say unto you, He that entereth not by the door into the sheepfold, but climbeth up some other way, the same is a thief and a robber.
2But he that entereth in by the door is the shepherd of the sheep.
3To him the porter openeth; and the sheep hear his voice: and he calleth his own sheep by name, and leadeth them out.
4And when he putteth forth his own sheep, he goeth before them, and the sheep follow him: for they know his voice.

This the cry of the Shepherd to His servants of this generation. Why are the watchmen sleeping at the gate so that the enemy is invading my land? why is the shepherd striving to build their own ministry instead of My Kingdom, why are my servant trying to do so much but leave Me outside of the door knocking? why? Repent my servants and return to your first love or else I will come and take your lamp out of your hand.
or if I send pestilence among my people;
If my people, which are called by my name,
shall humble themselves,

and seek my face,
and turn from their wicked ways;
then will I hear from heaven,

Short-Form Deliverance
In the name of the Lord Jesus Christ, by the power of his cross, his blood and his resurrection, I bind you Satan, the spirits, powers and forces of darkness, the nether world, and the evil forces of nature.
I take authority over all curses, hexes, demonic activity, and spells directed against me, my relationships, ministry, air space, finances, and the work of my hands; and I break them by the power and authority of the risen Lord Jesus Christ. I bind all demonic interaction, interplay, and communications between spirits sent against me, and send them directly to Jesus Christ for him to deal with as he wills.
I ask forgiveness for, and denounce all negative inner vows that I have made with the enemy, and ask that Jesus Christ release me from these vows and from any bondage they may have held in me. I claim the shed blood of Jesus Christ, the Son of the living God, over every aspect of my life for my protection. I pray all these things in the precious name of my Lord and Savior, Jesus Christ.
Breaking Curses
In the name of the Lord Jesus Christ of Nazareth, I rebuke all spells, hexes, curses, voodoo practices, witchcraft, satanic rituals, incantations, evil wishes, and fasting prayers (not of the Lord) that have been sent my way, or have passed down the generational bloodline. I take authority over all of them and command that they go back where they came from and be replaced with a blessing.
I ask forgiveness for and denounce all negative inner vows that I have made and ask you, Lord Jesus, to release me from any bondage they may have held in me. I claim your shed blood over all aspects of my life and relationships, and ask you to wash away and cleanse me from all impurities, in your name, Lord Jesus Christ.
Breaking Generational Curses
In the name of the Lord Jesus Christ, and by the power of his Word, I take the sword of the Spirit and cut myself free from all generational inherited sins, weaknesses, character defects, personality traits, cellular disorders, and genetic disorders. I sever all unhealthy soul-ties and forms of enmeshment and cut all bonds that are not of the Lord. I put his cross between myself, my parents, my grandparents, my siblings, my offspring, my mates, and any unhealthy relationships that my mates have had with others in the past. I cut all bonds of these relationships that are not of the Lord back to the beginning of time, and by the sword of the Spirit, and in the name of Jesus Christ, I say that I am now free, free to be the child of God the Lord intended me to be
Prayer against Every Evil
Spirit of our God, Father, Son, and Holy Spirit, Most Holy Trinity, descend upon me. Please purify me, mold me, fill me with yourself, and use me. Banish all the forces of evil from me, destroy them, vanquish them so that I can be healthy and do good deeds.
Banish from me all spells, witchcraft, black magic, malefice, ties, maledictions, and the evil eye; diabolic infestations, oppressions, possessions; all that is evil and sinful; jealousy, perfidy, envy; and physical, psychological, moral, spiritual, and diabolical ailments.
I command and bid all the powers who molest me — by the power of God Almighty, in the name of Jesus Christ our Savior — to leave me forever, and to be consigned into the everlasting lake of fire, that they may never again touch me or any other creature in the entire world.
Denouncing the Occult
Heavenly Father, in the name of your only begotten Son, Jesus Christ, I denounce Satan and all his works; witchcraft, the use of divination, the practice of sorcery, dealings with mediums, the Ouija board, astrology, horoscopes, numerology, all types of fortune telling, palm readings, levitation, and anything associated with the occult or Satan. I denounce all of them in the name of the Lord Jesus Christ who came in the flesh and by the power of his cross, his blood and his resurrection, I break their hold over me.

I. Christ’s Teaching and Examplea. Emphasizes motive and warns against religious ostentation for the sake of impressing people. (Matt. 6:1-18)
b. Fasting is endorsed by Christ’s own example – Luke 4:1-2.
i. When Jesus went into the wilderness, He was already full of the H.S.
ii. After fasting, He returned in the power of the H.S.
iii. Fasting was the final phase of preparation through which He had to pass,
before entering into His public ministry.
II. The Practice of the Early Church
a. Fasting was a vital part in Paul’s ministry – Acts 9:9; 2 Cor. 6:3-10; 2 Cor.
11:23-27;
b. Early Church fasted individually and COLLECTIVELY – Acts 13:1-3; Acts
14:21-23
i. As a result, they received direction and power from the H.S. for
decisions or tasks of special importance.
III. How Fasting Works
a. Fasting helps a Christian to receive direction and power from the H.S.
b. It’s a form of mourning, in one sense.
i. Mourning is not self-centered remorse or hopeless grief.
ii. It’s a response to H.S.’s prompting to share in God’s grief over sin and
folly of humanity – 2 Cor. 7:10.
c. It’s a means to humble and chasten oneself.
i. Rightly practiced, fasting brings both soul and body into subjection to the
H.S. – 1 Cor. 9:27
ii. Fasting deals with barriers to the H.S. – self-will and insistent, selfgratifying
appetites of the body. (Gal. 5:17).
1. Fasting changes people, not God.
2. Breaks down barriers in man’s carnal nature that stand in way of
H.S.’s omnipotence.
3. With barriers removed, H.S. can work unhindered in His fullness
through our prayers.
d. Four Requirements in 2 Chron. 7:14: if my people, who are called by my name, will
humble themselves and pray and seek my face and turn from their wicked ways, then will I hear
from heaven and will forgive their sin and will heal their land.
i. Humble themselves.
ii. Pray.
iii. Seek His face.
iv. Turn from their wicked ways.
e. Fasting will never change the righteous standard of God. If something is outside
the will of God, fasting will never put it inside the will of God – e.g.) David’s
fasting to save his son after he committed adultery (2 Sam 12).
f. Fasting is neither a gimmick nor a cure-all. Fasting is not a substitute for any
other part of God’s provision. Conversely, no other part of God’s provision is a
substitute for fasting (117).
The Salt of the Earth
“Ye are the salt of the earth.” -Matthew 5:13
I. Two Familiar Uses of Salt
a. Salt Gives Flavor
i. Our Function: To give flavor to the earth.
ii. Who enjoys this flavor? God.
1. “Our presence makes the earth acceptable to God. Our presence
commends the earth to God’s mercy” (14)/
iii. Principles (based on Gen. 18:16-33 – Abraham’s intercession on
Sodom’s Behalf)
1. It is never the will of God that the judgment due to the wicked
should come upon the righteous. God’s dealings w/ believers and
world are different.
a. There is persecution (coming from the wicked) for the
sake of righteousness.
i. Christians must expect to suffer persecution.
b. There is God’s judgment upon the wicked.
i. Christians may be chastened by God to preserve
us from undergoing His judgments.
ii. But Christians should not be included in God’s
judgment upon the wicked. (1 Cor. 11:32; Ps.
91-7-8; Ex. 7-12; Ex. 11:7)
2. The presence of righteous believers is the decisive factor in
God’s dealings with a community.
a. Ratio of 1 Righteous: 1,000 Sodomites – God was not
going to destroy the city.
i. E.g) In NK: 22m population. Need 22k
Righteous Christians?
