    4. Do Not Do This: Read quickly But Do This: 4. Slow down, ponder, muse
    5. Do Not Do This: Rely on reason and analysis only But Do This: 5. Combine anointed reason, flowing pictures, music and speech

    7. Do Not Do This: Take credit for insights But Do This: 7. Glorify God for insights
  • God wants to counsel us on a one on one basis because only He knows us enough to deal with our issues more effectively. But most of the time we have a lot of "stuff" (basically sin) that cluter our system. As we make the effort to remove those cluters we receive more counsel from God.

Cluter are basically removed through repentance from dead works. Once the cluter is out the Holy Spirit can freely flow in us and through us to carry on His deliverance work in us and around us.
  • Proverbs 4:23 Keep your heart with all diligence,
For out of it spring the issues of life.
  • Then we shall receive counsel from the Wonderful Counselor.
  • Matthew 5:8 Blessed are the pure in heart,
    For they shall see God.

When we keep a pure heart we are able to see God in everybody, everything and every situation. We can see from the perspective of God
  • Let’s not leave Immanuel out in the cold when He comes knocking on the door of our lives or church activities:
“Behold, I stand at the door and knock. If anyone hears My voice and opens the door, I will come in to him and dine with him, and he with Me.” (Revelation 3:20)
