Therefore, brothers, we have an obligation—but it is not to the sinful nature, to live according to it. Romans 8:12
Only our new nature, the born again nature is the one to live victoriously not the sinful nature. The sinful nature can only produce legalism and not love relationship, only the new nature can live up to what pleases God.
